Kent Wheiler is an Associate Professor in the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences, and Director of the Center for International Trade in Forest Products (CINTRAFOR). He joined SEFS and CINTRAFOR in 2017 after thirty years managing international forestry business operations, including eleven years living in Tokyo, Shanghai, and Dubai, and managing plantations in China, Indonesia, Ghana, South Africa, and Nicaragua. His research and teaching is aligned with the mission of CINTRAFOR (www.cintrafor.org), with a focus on sustainable production and trade of wood products to improve the lives of people, the health of our forests, and the global environment.
