Showy Stickseed (Hackelia venusta) Common Garden Study and Outplanting

Research Sponsored By: USDI Fish and Wildlife Service
Principal Investigator: Kern Ewing
Project Description
Washington Rare Plant Care and Conservation will continue with outplanting trials of H. venusta to augment the existing population and develop effective methods for establishing self-sustaining populations. The goal of the outplanting trials is to further refine methods and site selection to improve survival and to augment the existing population. Outplantings will continue at the native site in Tumwater Canyon, at the reintroduction site in Icicle Creek, and possibly at other ecologically suitable sites in Tumwater Canyon and Icicle Creek
